MHS Reunion Award Fund - Established in 2012 by the MHS Reunion Committee. The Bursary is for Mackenzie Community School students entering post-secondary education. Provided through MHS at graduation.
Mackenzie High School Reunions Contribute to DRDCF
Mackenzie High School (MHS) Alumni held 50th Anniversary Reunions in August of 2024 and 2025.

Imagine meeting up with friends you haven’t seen in 50 years!
Along with a LOT of reminiscing, they enjoyed getting a tour of their old alma mater (now Mackenzie Community School), sharing meals and rediscovering the area. The Deep River and District Community Foundation (DRDCF) was also there to accept donations to any of our 28 funds.
The most prominent fund, of course, was the MHS Reunion Award Fund established in 2012 to grant bursaries to Mackenzie graduates who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to community involvement. Donations to the MHS Fund this year and last year totalled $7,467.46. An additional $465.00 was donated to some of our other funds.
The DRDCF expresses our thanks to all the MHS Alumni who extended their legacy of learning by contributing to the MHS Reunion Award Fund over the years. Anyone wishing to contribute to future student bursaries can visit drdcf.ca/donate to learn more and make a donation.
Now, here is the challenge. Are you (or do you know) an MHS Alumni who graduated from Grade 11 in 1974, Grade 12 in 1975 or Grade 13 in 1976? If so, contact Cathy Kyle at catherinekyle81@gmail.com for information on how to organize a 2026 50th Reunion.
