Meet our Board

Carolyn joined the board of the Deep River & District Community Foundation in 2017 and serves on the Finance Committee, Publicity Committee and Volunteer Recognition Committee.

Carolyn was raised in Deep River and returned after attending school in Ottawa, travelling and working in Australia and South East Asia.

She owns and operates Maven Catering, established in 2013 and operates The Hexagon Waterfront Patio and Restaurant, located at the Deep River Yacht and Tennis Club during the summer months.

In 2017, she co-founded the International Women’s Day dinner and speaking event and later established the International Women’s Day Fund through the DRDCF.  To date, this event has raised over $55,000 in support of the DRDCF, Bernadette McCann House and North Renfrew Family Services.

She also serves on the board of directors for the Deep River Golf Club and North Renfrew Family Services.

Welcome to the first of our new series, "Meet the Team". First up is our wonderful chairperson, Dianne Lemire!

In 2018 Dianne joined the Deep River and District Community Foundation and joined the Publicity and Grant Committees. In 2020, she became the Chair of the Foundation and the Executive Committee.

In 2015, Dianne retired after a 33-year career, joining the Bank of Canada in 1982 and AECL/CNL in 1988.

Dianne used her technical skills to help several local organizations host, develop and maintain their websites and Facebook pages, such as Deep River and Area Minor Soccer, NRFS, Churches, Deep River Public Library, Pembroke Old Time Fiddling and Step Dancing Contest, as well as the School House Museum. She was also Registrar for the Deep River Area Minor Soccer for many years and joined the RBWM Historical Society and School House Museum board in 2012.
